From IEOR 170 Spring 2007
Please note: The print out of my poster is of better print quality than the image above.
Sources I used were the lecture slides from January 17, titled Industrial Design and Human Factors. I also got pictures from the Motorola website, http://www.motorola.com.
I tried to relate the poster to someone who may not know what design is or how important it is. This is the main reason why I asked the first two questions at the top of the poster and included the anecdote at the bottom of the poster.
I also asked the questions at the top of the poster to make the viewer think a little bit about design and design-related problems.
I included images and pictures to help the viewer see examples of design. I chose images that the viewer would be familiar with.
Because size is preattentive, I tried to emphasize more important ideas by having them in different font sizes.
I tried to put enough empty space between words and images so that the poster would be easy to read.
