[edit] Design Principles

The main design principle I used was Preattentive Visual Processing by using color and changing the orientation of the poster (Note: The poster is intended to be hung at an angle, as in the first picture). I also tried to follow Ockham's Razor by using few pictures and trying to make the poster simple. I made the size of the word "DESIGN" very large and "IEOR 170 SPRING 2008" also large to promote visibility as I felt these words represent the idea of the course very well. Finally, the layout for the poster was a design pattern created by a designer named Polo Chau.
