Design Principles:
I decided not to use color because it is distracting and unnecessary. I made my page as simple as possible. I started with the catchphrase being the biggest size text, in an interesting, bold font. And if the user is still interested, the rest of the information is available in smaller and smaller font. All the font doesn't need to be large since if the user is reading the whole poster, it means they are interested enough and don't need large fonts to catch their eye anymore. I put a black border around the edge to highlight the poster from other posters. And the teapot image is definitely an eye-catcher. My poster's main theme is that IEOR 170 is unlike any other course at Berkeley, and it is a welcome break from the usual math-intensive other courses. In IEOR 170 you get to learn something that is actually directly applicable to the world around you. This targets students who would be reading the poster who are mostly engineering students.
