In making this poster I utilized the principle of simpleness. As we know many times simple designs can be just as powerful and well-designed as very complex devices. When it comes to posters and marketing items I have learned that simplicity is the best approach. With this in mind I created this poster with a simple and clean look. The theme that I chose is: Design DOES Matter. It comes from Apple's new PC vs. Mac ad campaign. I acknowledge that the picture came from their TV commercial in which they show a PC trying to attach a web-cam to the top with tape to convey that PC's are not designed as well as Macs are. The reason that I chose this theme was because it is a very popular campaign that most college-aged/engineering students are familiar with. Utilizing Apple's ads my poster makes the reader remember that design does matter and it invokes a deeper understanding of our design class than just words alone. In addition the color scheme is just red and black alternating, to capture attention yet remain simple and not too gaudy.
