In this poster, I borrow the idea of a browser window because 1). It is a good example of human-computer interface. 2). It is familiar to most of the target audiences.

In addition, I applied the design idea of Von Restorff Effect: that it looks like a browser window rather than a poster.

Secondly, while IEOR170 is not a physical product, I used a image of a physical product (which I found from our reading) to illustrate that. I picked this image for the same reason that it is a good example of human-computer interaction device.

I also use the design concept of preattentive processing: varying the size of font to catch emphasize the main points of the course.
