[edit] Description

This flyer is meant to be posted in such a way that the text is horizontal. I observed this design pattern on a flyer posted previously in Etcheverry Hall, though I cannot remember what it was for. It exploited the concept of precognitive perception, by making the shape of the flyer stand out. Also, the flyer contains most of the information from previous flyers I have seen describing IEOR 170. I assumed that if such a flyer was to be posted, it would be most important to provide all the necessary information. There was lot, however, so I also used lines to separate out the topics into a title/subtitle/grabber black, a description block, and a requirement block. This could be seen as an affordance; lines are for separating.
